COOKING TIPS

Prime cuts such as tenderloin, sirloin or rib eye are often prepared on the grill and require 30% less cooking time. Marinating is recommended especially if you like your steak well done. Prepare our hamburger as you would any other. Try not to overcook and do not use a high flame. London broil and skirt steak are also delicious when well marinated.

Grass fed beef is ideal for recipes requiring cooking at very low temperatures, for long periods of time such as stews, chilies, pot roasts and ribs. These dishes use less expensive cuts of meat such as chuck, shank and brisket, are easy to prepare and result in a moist, delicious and nutritious meal.

Never us a microwave to thaw your grass fed beef. Either defrost in the refrigerator or place your vacuum-sealed package in warm water to thaw slowly.
